Eid ul-Adha will be on Saturday, 28th November 2009

Assalaamu alaikum dear brothers and sisters,

Australian National Crescent Sighting Coordination Centre (ANCSCC) is pleased to inform you of the results of crescent sighting in Australia for the month of Dhul Hijja 1430.

The crescent has not been sighted anywhere in Australia, this evening, Tuesday, 17th November. The 1st day of Dhul Hijja is Thursday, 19th November 2009, therefore Eid ul-Adha will be on Saturday, 28th November 2009 according to the moon sighting,Alhamdulillah
The Board of ANCSCC wishes to convey Eid Mubarak to everyone.

Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Hajj Mabrur (an accepted Hajj) has no less reward than Paradise.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

The first sanctuary ever built for mankind was that Bakkah [Makkah], a blessed place, a guidance to the peoples. In it there are plain signs; the place where Abraham stood. Whoever enters it is safe. And Pilgrimage to the House is a duty to Allah from mankind, for all who are able to make a journey. As for the disbelievers [they should know that] Allah is Independent of All creatures. (Qur’an: Ali ‘Imran 3:96-97)

The Jamiatul Ulama would firstly thank each and every one of you for your kind support, assistance and friendship in the past year, and may Allah reward you immensely for your kindness and generosity. Secondly, we pray that Allah Ta’ala brings the good of this world to you, remove the worst of it and reward you the best of His rewards in the Hereafter.

Lastly, may Allah make this coming Ramadhan one full of blessing, ease and personal reformation that He is pleased with.

Seek the Mercy of Allah in the first ten days of Ramadhan and follow it with seeking His forgiveness in the second ten of Ramadhan. Finish your last ten days of Ramadhan with prayer to Allah to save you and us all from Hellfire. You are a great blessing on this earth, and make the best of it!
